Using social media in Extension

Anne Adrian

Woodland owner networks are about a lot more than (online) social media.  But social media tools like blogs, Ning, and Flickr (among many others) do have great potential to engage woodland owners in new ways.  Anne Adrian has an excellent blog about using technology, including social media, in Extension.  If you’re thinking about dipping your toe in the social media water, check out her simple steps to get started.

  1. Thanks Eli for mentioning our post. Rhonda Conlon and I started the wiki page, but anyone in Extension can add links and instructions.

Since finding your page here, I have now added it to example Extension blogs http://collaborate.extension.org/wiki/Social_Media_in_Extension

I glad that you mentioned Ning. I am beginning to think Ning is a really great way to engage and learn from lots of different people on any given subject.
